BEST WIPEOUTS OF 2009

Don't worry, we're not going to mention names.  We'd like to thank all those guests who decided if they weren't going to make the wave, at least they would provide entertainment.  Thanks to Alice as well for her cat-like reflexes catching these elusive and embarrassing moments.

Let's start with my personal favourite.  This photo elicted cat calls and hoots during the nightly slide show.  Everybody was charging this day, but this superman pro body surfer took it to new heights.

Sometimes I can't figure out what the intent was to begin with.  Was he supposed to be hitting the lip, doing a cut back, or maybe practicing break dancing?

Jared paid the band to dance a couple times in 2009.  I love the relaxed floating look as he heads for the bottom, totally in control.

In case you were wondering, this is NOT a good look.  We advise guests NOT to hesitate, NOT to bail, and NOT to let your board fall before you do.  Breaking all three rules but luckily nothing else.

Oh, I remember this one.  I was in the barrel, just finished pumping and convinced I was going to make the next section when I dug a rail and now I get to live with it for the rest of my life.

The classic leash stretcher wipeout.

Another bankvaults reality check.  Don't get cocky at this wave.

Legs and arms everywhere, board already gone.

Don't even know how this happened, but it makes for good happy hour laughs.

This maneuver is usually called the lobster grab, which would be funny except he'll be lucky if he doesn't actually sleep with the lobsters after this one.

Me again.  Not sure what I was thinking, but pretty good technique for a kook.

We are standing by to make your dreams a reality.
