At WavePark Mentawai we have a few waves that can only be ridden if you are CHARGING!! You should have confidence in your equipment and your ability if you are going to tackle these.
Consider these waves as "advanced", or "black diamond".
These waves will occasionally be as big as anywhere in Indonesia. Acting as swell magnets, these reefs only need calm, clean conditions to be as big and perfect as anywhere in the world. Comparisons are to Pipeline, Teahupoo, G-land, Backdoor and Lagundri.
Bring a board that allows you to get into the wave sooner, but still allows you to maneuver while on the face of the wave.
