WavePark Mentawai is surrounded by fun waves that are for everyone's ability in the surf. Although we have no beach break waves in the WavePark, we do have waves that are a mixture of sand and reef.
These reefs are approved for cruisers, longboarders, and kids beginning.
No stress, no anxiety, just paddle out in the tropical warm water and have a bunch of fun!
The lefts and rights are distributed about evenly in the wave park, and you will be amazed that every direction wind is offshore at some break. High tide, low tide, it doesn't matter for the beginner waves. Guests surf everyday regardless of how big the swell is, as there are some breaks that only start when the swell gets really big, and some breaks that are surfable only when everywhere else is flat!
Don't worry if you think your skills aren't up to the task in the Mentawai Islands. We will only guide you to the waves that are appropriate for your ability, and help you with positioning and crowds. Although our surf guides are expert surfers themselves, they don't mind taking time out from the big ones to enjoying a no consequence session.
